Napędzana energią „zajawki” i niszowych zainteresowań Galeria Magiel wypełnia lukę na wrocławskiej scenie kulturalnej; jest zorientowana wokół tzw. urban artu, sztuki ulicznej i undergroundowej. Prezentuje twórców wywodzących się z tego środowiska i śledzi ich ewolucję w różnych kierunkach, m.in. fotografii, ilustracji, malarstwa, liternictwa, tatuażu.. Misją Magla jest kreowanie przestrzeni dla prezentacji młodych artystów oraz rozwijania kulturalnego miejsca spotkań poza ścisłym centrum.

Od stycznia 2021 roku funkcjonujemy na Hubach gdzie odkryliśmy niezwykły potencjał w nieco sennym zakątku ulicy Wapiennej. Po trzech latach maglowania, w kwietniu 2024 staliśmy się fundacją Magiel. Naszą misja jest przedstawianie najciekawszych zjawisk związanych z graffiti i alternatywną sztuką miejską oraz stworzenie miejsca do spotkania, eksperymentu i rozwoju dla artystów związanych z szeroko pojętą kulturą hip-hopową Realizujemy to poprzez wystawy, projekcje, wydawnictwa, tworzenie kolekcji oraz warsztaty. Prócz wystaw, projekcji filmowych i spotkań z twórcami oferujemy lokalnej młodzieży darmowe miejsce do pobycia w ciągu dnia, niezobowiązujące i przyjazne, gdzie mogą odetchnąć od np. trudnej sytuacji w domu lub kreatywnie spędzić czas. Cykliczne spotkania ze szkicownikiem przyciągają do nas coraz młodsze dzieciaki. W tym sensie Magiel zaczął spełniać funkcję osiedlowej świetlicy i bezpiecznej przystani na Wrocławskich Hubach. Wstęp do galerii jest bezpłatny.

Driven by the energy of passion and niche interests, Galeria Magiel fills a gap in Wrocław's cultural scene; it focuses on so-called urban art, street art, and underground art. It showcases creators from this environment and tracks their evolution in various directions, including photography, illustration, painting, lettering, and tattooing. Magiel's mission is to create a space for showcasing young artists and developing a cultural meeting place outside the city center.

Since January 2021, we have been operating at Huby where we discovered extraordinary potential in the somewhat sleepy corner of Wapienna Street. After three years of operation, in April 2024, we became the Magiel Foundation. Our mission is to present the most interesting phenomena related to graffiti and alternative urban art, and to create a place for meetings, experimentation, and development for artists associated with the broadly defined hip-hop culture. We realize this through exhibitions, screenings, publications, creating collections, and workshops. Besides exhibitions, film screenings, and meetings with creators, we offer local youth a free, casual, and friendly place to spend the day, where they can take a break from difficult situations at home or spend time creatively. Regular sketchbook meetings attract younger and younger kids to us. In this sense, Magiel has begun to fulfill the role of a community center and a safe haven in Wrocław's Huby. Admission to the gallery is free.
